Data we collect

• Weekly email subscription: your email address, language and the date and IP address when you subscribed.
• Contact form: your name, email and message, plus an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address to prevent abuse.
• Panel accounts (by invitation only): name, email, encrypted password and the account's usage log.
• We do not ask visitors for sensitive, banking or financial data and we never ask for money.

What we use it for

Necessary purposes: sending you the weekly email you asked for, answering your messages, running panel accounts and protecting the site against spam and abuse.

Optional purpose: measuring, statistically and anonymously, how many people visit the site, only if you accept analytics cookies. You can decline and nothing else changes.

Cookies

• vdi_session: keeps your session and protects forms (essential; deleted when you log out or close the browser).
• consent: remembers whether you accepted analytics (essential; 180 days).
• _ga and _ga_*: Google Analytics, anonymous visit statistics (only if you accept; up to 2 years).
• Public forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from robots; Google processes that information under its own privacy policy.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. The site's hosting and email provider and Google (reCAPTCHA and, if you accept it, Analytics) process it on our behalf and only for what is described here. We make no other transfers except those required by law.

If you choose to donate, the platform you use (Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee or the crypto network) processes your data under its own privacy notice; this site does not receive your payment details.

How long we keep it

Subscription emails, until you unsubscribe. Contact messages, up to 24 months. Account data, while the account exists and for as long as the law requires afterwards.

Your rights and revoking consent

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its use and revoke your consent. Write to us through the contact form with your name, the email you registered with and your request; we will answer within 20 business days.

To stop receiving the weekly email, just use the «unsubscribe» link included in every email.

Changes to this notice

Any change will be published on this page with its update date.
